In a similar vein, could we have the port install the wikis mountntfs script somewhere It would avoid (error-prone) copy+paste steps for users, who would symlink it when desired, and allow. Update 20th Apr 2014: Updated Portfile to switch to osxfuse because fuse4x has been deprecated by MacPorts. I believe Homebrew patches it in, and it is not provided by the ntfs-3g package proper. FUSE4X HOMEBREW HOW TO
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot? ~/Desktop> brew install sshfsĪlready downloaded: /Library/Caches/Homebrew/fuse4x-0.9.1.tgzĪclocal: error: aclocal: file '/usr/local/share/aclocal/mysql.m4' does not existĪutoreconf: aclocal failed with exit status: 1 I resided to reuse the homebrew target that was added to osxfuse. Does anyone know how to solve this Thanks. To try to solve this problem I removed ntfs-3g, fuse4x and fuse4x-kext and reinstalled them. Also the package ntfs-3g is updated and you have to sym link the mountntfs file to the ntfs-3g one, so if you have set up before and have updated your brew you need to remove fuse4x. I installed ntfs-3g and fuse4x using homebrew in Mountain Lion and followed the instructions displayed by homebrew to finish the installation of fuse4x kernel extension.

I'm trying to install sshfs using homebrew. Please update the /fuse tree to deprecate fuse4x in favor of osxfuse. This guide is updated April 2014, the previous package used fuse4x, is no longer required as osxfuse will work without it.
